It’s appropriate that this luxurious aged care facility is situated in a sun-drenched location. Because we’re seeking a DON/GM who’ll be the sun around which the home, its residents, staff, and local community revolve.

They’ll be a passionate and informed leader who shines brightest when the heat is on. A mentor who’s firm but kind, banishing shadows to bring warmth and illumination to all within their sphere. Collaborative and inclusive, they’re not someone with a dark nature, or who avoids the spotlight.

Could you be the bright spark who can usher in a new dawn of integrated care and services for this boutique aged care provider?

Naturally, star candidates will possess extensive, proven management experience in home care/residential or aged care/health, or the disabilities sectors (I.e., aged care not essential), along with:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and knowledge of accreditation standards and legislative requirements
  • RN AHPRA registration
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in maximising uptake of services and/or occupancy levels

Reporting directly to the fantastic, supportive Chief Operating Officer, your remit includes:

  • Responsibility for overall operations
  • Leading, mentoring and consistently developing the team
  • Ensuring systems uptake and continuous improvement, developing programs and services that integrate the aged care facility within the local community, and vice versa
  • Driving and maintaining strong bonds with staff, families and residents,
  • Optimising the household model of care to utilise the vertical building design to ensure effective and integrated care delivery by staff
  • Engaging and motivating a diverse team to provide high quality care and client outcomes

For over 60 years, this well-established, family-owned business has provided Australian seniors with quality lifestyle and care options. Designed by renowned architects Allen Jack & Cottier, the facility is situated within the heart of Engadine at the southern edge of Sydney and, with an enlightened DON/GM at its helm, will become the heart of the community.

This role really is your chance to shine. With a childcare centre located underneath the facility, it’s an opportunity to develop intergenerational programs that bring about positive and meaningful change to the lives of both the residents and the local community.

Happily, you won’t have to deal with endless layers of bureaucracy to bring this about – you’ll have the reach to act quickly and effectively with comprehensive, unstinting support from the progressive and innovative COO, and executive management and corporate team.

So if you have the glowing qualities and experience to eclipse the competition for this brilliant role, illuminate us on the number below.
